If you in any way agree, what suggestions could you give to make things better?

Street Light Specific comments (Comment was Please say where you think lighting is needed)

  1. No street lights needed, detriment to character of village.
  2. Any and everywhere children walk to in the evening in the village
  3. No street lighting - Not needed. Spoils the look and causes more problems than it solves.
  4. On Main Roads
  5. The street lighting at the T-Junction of Branch Road and the A47 trunk road is not maintained (not working for some time). It is an extremely dangerous T-Junction that must be illuminated
  6. Lighting is needed
  7. In areas of concentrated population particularly where no footpath is provided

A47 / Branch Road

  1. Branch Road to the A47 - Install mini-roundabout or lights. Widen the A47 and get rid of the ditches either side.
  2. Traffic lights Branch Road / A47
  3. Mini roundabout at junction of Branch Road and Acle Straight
  4. The junction of Branch Road and the A47 would be better if traffic lights or mini-roundabout installed. Would also slow down traffic speed
  5. A roundabout would be safer for the Branch Road / A47 junction.
  6. A roundabout is needed at Branch Road - A47 Junction.
  7. Roundabouut at Acle New Road / Branch Road junction

General Comments

  1. Speed bumps on Bakers Road
  2. Moulton Road: Pot holes on side of road (where it is wider) need to be filled in.
  3. If Dog Owners were caught and fined for letting dogs foul the pavements, roads and public places. Horse owners too - horses need bags to catch their poo so it doesn't foul public places, where people walk.
  4. Getting the verges on Tunstall cleared beck to edge of tarmac, especially just before Oaklands Close
  5. There are a number of potholes just before the bend from Marsh Road to Branch Road. I have already had a puncture and feel they need to be addressed.
  6. Between Church Avenue and Woodcocks Corner needs to be wider.
  7. Moulton Road needs maintenance on the passing places. Pot holes very hazardous especially in wet weather when you can't see what you are driving into.
  8. Enforce Weight Limit on Branch Road
  9. Chapel Road is a narrow lane and has reached its full capacity for traffic. It is difficult to see around the hedge when exiting. Also the corner is very slippery in icy weather. It is easy to slide into the Marsh Road.
  10. Corner of Bakers Road to Playing Field - Trees and bushes over hanging, verges need diggng back.
  11. The passing places on Moulton Road need to be tarmaced, holes filled in.
  12. Narrow roads help to reduce speeding as only one car can pass at a time so you have to pull over and let somebody pass (add one of the man made one of these to Marsh Road)
  13. There should be passing places along Moulton Road or passing places maintained.
  14. A pavement all the way to the playing field would be be safer for the children.
  15. Roads taken back to their original width: i.e. banks to be trimmed back properly.
  16. Because of bump on Branch Road, large traffic uses Moulton Road. Perhaps large traffic should use Branch Road with a lower speed limit on the hump back bridge.
  17. Most of the problems with the roads are those who drive on them without knowing how to.
  18. Mill Road - Between Glebe Road & White House - Road is too narrow for two vehicles to pass & use a private drive to create a passing place. This location needs proper highway solution e.g. Reduce to one lane & priority passing.
  19. Moulton Road is fine, just needs pull-ins to be better maintained and people to realise that if the pull-in is on there side and traffic is coming they need to pull over.
  20. Wickhampton Road cleared back to widen. Road has got narrow on way to Mill coming up to White House on corner.
  21. Branch Road needs relaying and making wider.
  22. Footpath to playing field
  23. Moulton Road and Mill Road need improved passing places.
  24. Private housing and hedges need tidying up where they over hang paths and roads.
  25. Wider roads would encourage speeding. Footpaths can cause potential dangers too (eg Not the answer for Wickhampton Road).
