Please could you give your reasons on why you Agree or Disagree

Strongly Agree / Agree

  1. Agree because it brings new people into the village who otherwise would not visit. Hence the reason why revamping the pub would be good as even more people would visit our village.
  2. It beings people into the village
  3. Shared costs. Much improved facilities available to all
  4. We are very lucky to have two local cricket clubs. Halvergate CC is a very well established club also Mallards CC playing at a very high standard bringing with them a very large support and much needed funds which the playing field needs to maintain facilities.
  5. Good for village, brings villagers together
  6. It safeguards the future of cricket being played in Halvergate and should be encouraged and not undermined by short-sighted opinions by people. "Grow up"
  7. It brings more visitors to the village who contribute to help keep the playing field going. Also would Halvergate Cricket Club be able to continue without the extra support.
  8. The new cricket club has brought more life to the playing field
  9. Efficient utilisation of facilities and drawing in those from outside the immediate surrounding area.
  10. Brings more income to the playing field pavilion
  11. It brings money to the playing field pavilion
  12. It is good for sure
  13. Improved facilities. Extra income for the bar. Something to come and watch on a Saturday that helps get people out of the house.
  14. I was pleased to see how Mallards had improved the playing field
  15. To raise money to keep playing field viable
  16. Visitors go to watch and then buy drinks and snacks at the pavilion, but when the cricket season is on other activities take a back seat.
  17. Financial to playing field. V Good cricket on display
  18. Greatly enhanced amenities
  19. Has helped the local cricket teams a great deal. I feel that in the future it will put Halvergate on the map as the place to plac top class cricket.
  20. Brings revenue to a village amenity which helps fund social events for the whole village and up keep of play area
  21. Improved facilities.
  22. More people have used the playing field this last year than in the previous five. Halvergate has exceptional facilities and its good they ae being used.
  23. Led to greater investment in the facilities for the local community, improved appearance of the site and encouraged more local children to play cricket.
  24. The village cricket club would have struggled to continue without the share arrangement.
  25. Its bringing first class cricket to the village and your people can benefit from it.
  26. Brings more people up pavilion which means more money for village
  27. The venture has fully supported our village club and has given the local youth cricketers excellent opportunities for coaching at county standards. Financial gain will benefit the community totally.
  28. Provides vital support to the playing field, Support continued provision of sport for local youngsters or adults
  29. Our son attends cricket training and its been great for many local children to benefit from experienced coaches coming to the area
  30. It has improved the playing field facilities
  31. Facilities improved. Increased access for younger age groups e.g. Training sessions
  32. Fresh investment has helped the village team and facilities
  33. I love to hear cheers from the playing field from my garden. There is some good cricket. Our football team used to be good - what happened!
  34. Brings people into the village
  35. Bringing more people into the village, so will mean more ££ spent in the pavilion bar
  36. Good amenity for village which needs to be shared to make sure it survives
  37. Ensured upkeep of area
  38. It is keeping the ground open and in top condition also everybody who goes there says what a lovely place and how clean things are kept. Some people even say the village should be proud of it.
  39. It has been beneficial to the Club House but not the village in general. The extra traffic volume on Wickhampton Road is too much. And puts girls/parents off going up there.

Neutral

  1. I don't know whether it is beneficial or not. What do they do to benefit the village?
  2. OK as long as it doesn’t stop village people using facilities if they want to.
  3. Not aware of any benefits to the Parish, but it has secured the future of the playing field
  4. We have no knowledge of the arrangement
  5. I have no interest in cricket
  6. I'm sure the playing field must've benefited in some way. I don't know much about it.
  7. Do not use therefore unable to comment.
  8. As we don't have children, we don't tend to use the playing field or its amenities. Plus, have no interest in Cricket
  9. I don't know anything about the share.
  10. I've no idea if its been beneficial but its nice to see it being used.
  11. It has improved facilities but now limits any football on the ground making it a cricket ground not a playing field
  12. May be it helps upkeep of playingfield

Disagree / Strongly Disagree

  1. It just causes more traffic. The only ones to benefit are the playing fields
  2. Seems to have taken over our public park. Haven't seen any improvement for public users. Don't like the way they leave their equipment out (e.g. Advertising boards).
  3. Brings too much traffic on our lanes. Don't want GY club (Mallards) using our village facilities
  4. Benefits cricket only
  5. Limited the access for use of the pitches e,g, football and use of the area generally
  6. The money from the cricket merger could have been better spent forming a fence around the playground to ensure safety for your children. No where to play football now for the children.
  7. Feels locals have been forced out of the team.
  8. The playing field is not used as the children cannot play football or ride their bikes. We have taken grandchildren to play on the field and have been told to get off. We were not the only ones. It is not a playing field it’s a cricket ground and the words playing field should be taken away.
  9. I used to play for Vauxhall Mallards in the 1980's and know they will want to take the Halvergate CC over and push out Halvergate CC name / playing members.
  10. No difference at all
  11. These should be for local people in surrounding villages, nole a club that is independent and has the largest share, the ability to take over.
  12. Too much cricket, it is like a mafia organisation
  13. The ground share will see the demise of Halvergate CC within two years and there is no longer football played on the playing field.
  14. The other club has taken over. Children are discouraged from using the playing fild and it is lottery funded
